Amazon Web Services

Posted June 16, 2010

I was thinking of connecting to the ASP.NET web services running on my windows box from another box which has ubuntu in it.

Browsed for a way to develop WebServices on Linux and finally ended up with Amazon AWS site. Signed up for an Amazon account and I was taken to a page where I was asked whether I should sign up for Amazon EC2. Decided to go for it and clicked the continue button. Here I am presented with a legal agreement inside a small text box with a vertical scroll bar. (forgot about the horizontal one, did it have one?)

After reading some part of the agreement, I decided to try law school before learning WebServices using Amazon EC2. I thought of reading the agreement in a full browser window using the link provided. I found that both agreements have different dates and different wordings. Not sure how the law is interpreted in that case. Will figure it out after my law school graduation ...

Microformats

Posted June 15, 2010

It all started when I went to StackOverflow couple of days back. I visited there as part of a Seattle area job search.

I was taken to a resume which I came to know was edited using hresume.

Yesterday I spent about an hour and my resume is ready. I also used an hresume editing tool from here as a bootstrapper.

Today I happened to see VIVITI and thought of a good place to launch and show the hresume and other skills I am learning and share with others.

As of today, my resume is the first in the list.
